เมื่อวานไปเจอเว็บนึงเข้า ความหมายและประโยชน์ก็ตามชื่อหัวเรื่องวันนี้ คือ OpenPhoto.net
ํำYesterday, I accidentally found one interesting website. Its name respresents what it provides. OpenPhoto.net .

หลายคนคงเคยเห็นเว็บประเภท Corbis ที่ให้สมาชิก(จ่ายเงิน) เข้าไปเลือกรูปที่ต้องการและดาวน์โหลดนำมาใช้ประกอบงานอาร์ตเวิร์คได้
Many of you may have seen "Corbis"-like websites which enable the customers to choose the photos they like and download them to use with their artwork.

ซึ่งมันจำเป็นมากเลยนะ สำหรับคนที่ทำงานประเภทนิตยสาร หรืออกแบบเว็บอะไรพวกนี้ .. น่าจะเคยเห็นกันบ้าง ประเภทที่เป็นฝรั่งใส่สูทยืนจับมือกัน หรือพนักงานสาวยิ้มยินดีต้อนรับ  หรือไม่ก็รูปโอเปอเรเตอร์กำลังตอบโทรศัพท์ ...
This kind of website is neccessary for people working with magazine or web design. You may have seen picture of the Americans shaking their hands, A smiling girl welcome you to their website or an operator answering their phone calls.

ของพวกนี้หาได้ตามเว็บรวมรูปพวกนี้แหละ เว็บพวกนี้มันมีรายได้จากการขายรูป ซึ่งเราจะต้องจ่ายเงินให้กับตากล้องก่อน จึงจะนำรูปไปใช้ได้ แล้วตัวเว็บเองก็จะหักค่านายหน้า ไม่รู้เหมือนกันว่ากี่เปอร์เซ็นต์
These kind of photos can be found at this kind of websites. They earn money from selling the photos. We have to pay to the photographer before we can make use of them. The website then take some of the percentages from the photographer.

มันก็เลยมีคนคิดจะทำเว็บรวมรูปแบบเปิด คือใครไปสมัครสมาชิกก็ได้ แล้วก็แจกจ่ายรูปที่ตัวเองถ่ายให้คนอื่นใช้ภายใต้ Open Source License เราก็ไปสมัครสมาชิกไว้เหมือนกัน อัพไป 4 รูปละ เลือกแต่รูปที่ดีๆหน่อย เพราะส่วนใหญ่แม่งเน่า 555+ เหมาะมากนะ สำหรับมือสมัครเล่น คือรูปที่เราถ่ายบางรูปไม่รู้จะเก็บไว้กับตัวคนเดียวทำไม ก็เอาไปเผยแพร่ให้คนอื่นเค้าใช้ดีกว่า เผลอๆอาจจะได้เห็นรูปตัวเองถูกใช้ในหนังสือด้วย
So, there is a group of people with the "Open" idea to create a website which anyone can distribute their photos under Open Source License. I had signed up with openphoto.net too and had uploaded 4 of my best shots. This website is suitable for non-professional photographer like me. Keeping your photos in your HDD without touching them make them useless. Why not distribute them to other people who might make use of them?

เห็นแวบๆว่า Open Source License ของรูปภาพพวกนี้มันใช้ Creative Common License ด้วย ไม่รู้เหมือนกันว่ะว่ามันเป็นยังไง ยังไม่ได้ศึกษาละเอียด เข้าใจว่าคงเป็น License ที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นและปรับปรุงเพื่อใช้กับงานอย่างอื่นที่ไม่ใช่โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ล่ะมั้ง
At a glance, I saw the Creative Common License was use for licensening the photos on the website but I have not study in details of this license. I guess it was a kind of open license which was created and modified to be suitable to use with something which is not a program sourcecode.

PS. Today, I wrote the Thai version of this entry before I began translating them to English word-by-word. Writing double languages like Nithi-Space is hard. Try it yourself!
